I was reading in Exodus today and I came across the story of Bezalel. He’s someone about whom I have not heard before. If you’re like me, then here’s a synopsis.
God had just given Moses instructions for building the tabernacle. He then needed a man that could implement those instructions. Bezalel was chosen to make the designs come to life. He as the most skilled artist in the camp, and went on craft everything from the tapestries to the ark of the covenant.
He didn’t lead the people of Israel out of Egypt. He wasn’t a great prophet. He never performed a miracle. He was an artist that used his talents for God. His handiwork became one of the most sought after treasures of all time.
To my fellow artists, don’t let anyone discourage you from what you are doing. You may not create material for another Indiana Jones adventure, but what you are doing is very useful in the ministry.
To the rest of my readers, you can still take this principle to heart. You may not see the impact of your talents right now, but God has given them to you, and has a use for them. Keep it up.

Word! and yea, Bezalel rocks.
yeah, I was so impressed about all he did.
that is very cool. i guess i hadn't read that one in a really long while. very applicable for what we do. there's no way that all of us could be moses, but we all have something that god has gifted us in and wants us to use to glorify him.
definitely. I hope we can all find that out and accept and use those talents rather than looking for others.
