His Timing

I know we’re all busy, whether it be with school or work. Some of us are more than others it seems like. I have a friend that is taking more than a full course load of classes, and they are tough ones at that. The other night I was talking to her and she was having a really tough time in an online class she had just started over spring break. I wanted to give her a verse to help lift her spirits and comfort her, but I just couldn’t find one that quite fit. All I think to say was “If you know it’s God’s will for you to be a nurse, and this class is required to do that, then He will get you through it.”

Well, yesterday I was walking back from the bank, just thinking about a few different things I had to do the rest of the day. Then, all of a sudden, I started thinking of a Bible verse. I looked up the reference when I got back to my apartment, and it was Philippians 1:6 ” And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” I thanked God for giving me that verse and sent it to my friend right away. Later in the afternoon she told me that she got it right before heading into her test that day, and that it encouraged her.

I had no idea what her schedule was that day, or that she even had a test, but God did, and He gave me that verse at just the right time to be an encouragement for my friend. His timing, as always, was perfect.
