Money

I’ve been a fan of Dave Ramsey for about 5 years. I first heard him in my high school economics class. He gives great common sense financial advice. I’d definitely recommend reading one of his books, attending one of his classes, or listening to his radio program.

What he offers is not a get rich quick scheme. He offers a set of sound financial principles that, if followed, will ensure financial peace. If you can’t do any of the above, at the very least consider reading and following his 7 baby steps to financial peace.

I’d also like to share with you a great tool for helping you in this process, mint.com. Mint.com is a great web app that integrates with all of your financial accounts–checking, savings, investments–to give you a full view of your finances. It tracks spending and helps you create and easy budget. I’ve just started using it and am already very pleased with the tools it offers. I have to give credit to Wesley Donehue for informing me about it via tweet.
